Hampton Coffee Company was recognized for its many years of community service by The Ellen Hermanson Foundation at their annual Denim & Diamonds event.  The Southampton-based family-owned business was singled out for their contributions to more than one hundred local charities and organizations each and every year.  Hampton Coffee Company and Co-owners Jason and Theresa Belkin were specifically recognized for volunteering and donating to Ellen’s Run and Denim & Diamonds, two annual fundraisers that benefit The Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and Ellen’s Well.

The mission of The Ellen Hermanson Foundation is to ensure access to state-of-the-art breast health care and empower people affected by cancer.  The Foundation provides educational outreach about the importance of early detection, and access to mammography and treatment to medically underserved communities.  The Foundation also raises money to fund psychological support services that address the broad range of issues facing breast cancer patients, survivors, spouses, families and friends.

“Many local organizations on the East End have had the good fortune to know Jason and Theresa and to gain from the help and generosity of Hampton Coffee Company.”  Sarah Blue, a member of The Ellen Hermanson Foundation, said in her heartfelt introduction of Hampton Coffee’s Jason and Theresa Belkin.

In his acceptance speech on behalf of the company, Jason expressed his profound appreciation for the honor and noted that it was the first time Hampton Coffee Company had been recognized in such a big way. “Hampton Coffee’s business model, based on quality and community, includes as much community involvement as possible. We believe that really being part of events and serving our donated coffee with a warm and welcoming smile can really make a difference.  It’s just so humbling to be recognized for doing something we are all so happy to do.”  Hampton Coffee Company purchased tickets to the fundraiser for all of its managers so Jason ended his speech by thanking the Foundation for giving everyone a night off -usually everyone would be volunteering at the event!
