Hampton Coffee Company Opens “Coffee Experience Store” in Southampton

Posted on July 10, 2013 to News

Local family-owned business Hampton Coffee Company opened its third café and espresso bar in Southampton recently.  The new location is located at 749 County Road 39A, on the Highway next to BMW of Southampton.  It is the 19-year-old coffee company’s first-ever "Coffee Experience Store”.

The new location features all the Hampton Coffee favorites like their popular scones baked-on-premises, Hampton Classic Blend coffee, and a selection of fresh homemade breakfast and lunch food.  However, the new location is modeled on West Coast city-style espresso bars with the highlight here on great coffee and the "coffee experience" with top-notch professional Barista-prepared beverages and a first-on-the-East End Pour Over Bar.

At their Pour Over Bar, customers sit down at a specially-designed counter with their own personal Hampton Coffee Company Barista, select the type of coffee they’d like to try, select the method of brewing (French Press, AeroPress, Chemex, etc.), and then the coffee is prepared fresh-to-order as the customer participates in the coffee-making process.  It's a great activity to do with a friend or a group after hitting the wineries or Hamptons shopping.

Everything is also available to go and there's plenty of super-convenient easy on/off the Highway parking right in front.  For those who’d like to stay, the coffee experience continues as one can choose to enjoy their selections at a winding windowfront custom-made bar, at a reclaimed wood communal table, in a leather seating nook, or out front enjoy outdoor patio seating.  Wifi is available, perfect for relaxing with an iPad or catching up on some work.  All around the Coffee Experience Store one experiences the sights and sounds of a working coffee roastery, which relocated here from their original location in Water Mill.  Instead of separating the espresso bar and the roastery, here it is all one.

“What’s really exciting is that our new Hampton Coffee Company Experience Store has an Education Room where we can hold coffee-related seminars,” said Coffee Experience Manager Richard Cummins.  “We are looking forward to being able to introduce our customers to the farmers from around the world from whom we buy our green coffee beans.  Our first will be Ric Sriwijaya from Sumatra, Indonesia.  We buy all our Sumatra coffee direct-trade from him and his family.”

The new Hampton Coffee Company in Southampton is open from 6am-8pm daily.
