Local coffee and local talent are coming together at our Southampton Coffee Experience Store and Café this November.

On Friday November 4, the Town of Southampton Youth Bureau will host it’s Teen Open Mic Night! Local students in grades 5-12 are welcome to come perform original work, renditions of their favorite musical selections, comedy acts and karaoke from 7pm-9pm. Sign-up at the event if you want to perform or simply come to enjoy and encourage local kids as they perform in front of their peers, family and friends!

One week later, on Friday November 11, enjoy Spoken Word Southampton’s Poetry Night. The event will begin with readings by featured poets Brian Cudzillo, L. B. Thompson, Adrienne Unger and Susan Dingle, then followed by an Open Mic Segment when audience members and fellow poets can take the stage to read excerpts of their own work.

Our Coffee Experience Store and Café, located at 749 County Road 39A in Southampton, has proved to be the perfect place for the Youth Bureau’s Teen Open Mic Night and Spoken Word Southampton’s poetry night. It has been attracting performers and audiences from across the East End. The coffee bar features leather arm chairs, free Wi-Fi and an open city-style floor plan. This is all in addition to serving as our Coffee Roastery. Combine all this with local talent and you’ve got a recipe for two fun Friday nights!
