Hampton Coffee Company Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary!

Posted on January 01, 2004 to

It may be hard to believe, but local business Hampton Coffee Company is celebrating its 10th Anniversary! Its first espresso bar opened its doors in November of 1994 on Montauk Highway in Water Mill, long before the "coffee craze" or anyone on Long Island had ever heard of Starbucks. Today, the Water Mill location houses the company's coffee roastery, mail order/internet division, and includes a full-service café that serves breakfast, lunch, and dessert.

Co-owners and local residents Jason Belkin and Pepe Martinez bought the business from its original owner five years ago. Both were former employees who realized their dream to one day own the business themselves. Since taking over Hampton Coffee Company in 1999, the team has more than tripled the company's yearly sales. The company has added two espresso bar & cafés to its retail division, started a successful internet and mail order business, and has grown the wholesale division to include clients like supermarket chains King Kullen and Waldbaum's, Dean & Deluca, and many of New York City and The Hamptons' top restaurants. Amazingly, unlike its local and national competitors, Hampton Coffee Company's prices for its brewed coffee ($1.16), coffee beans ($10.99), and baked goods ($1.75) remain the same as they were ten years ago! One of the few places left in The Hamptons where one can find a good deal.

In celebration of their anniversary and the Holiday Season, Hampton Coffee Company's espresso bars in East Hampton and Water Mill invite you to enjoy free samples of their Cinnamon Bun-flavored coffee every day until New Years. The perfect Holiday Flavor, their Cinnamon Bun coffee tastes just like those warm bakery treats complete with a touch of sugary icing! Cinnamon Bun coffee beans are also available by the pound in both stores to bring home. It's the perfect compliment to any Holiday Gathering.

Hampton Coffee Company's espresso bars & cafés are located at 869 Montauk Highway in Water Mill, next to The Green Thumb Farmstand, and at 30 Main Street in East Hampton, right next to the East Hampton movie theater. Both locations are open year-round. For more information, downloadable menus, or directions, visit their website:
