Our building has been here in Quogue Village since before Jessup Avenue opened, around 1878. It was known as "George Jessup's General Store". The Quogue Library got its start here with 20 books on a back shelf of the store in the 1880s. In 1905, Arthur Tuthill opened his pharmacy here and ran it until 1926. Myron Perry took over the pharmacy and named it "Perry's".

In the 1920s and 30s there was a Western Union office in the western side of the building. When the telegraph company departed the store it became Ed Burden's real estate office. The Pharmacy was still operational in the 1950s, and a soda fountain was added serving Schrafft's ice cream and luncheon fare. It later was purchased by Marty and Al Affinito and named "The Fountain of Youth". When the Affinitos sold, the building became a luncheonette called "The Inn Spot" and later "Beth's Cafe". In 2026, Hampton Coffee Company took over for Beth's, proudly continuing the 100-year legacy of this building.
